ArcGIS Chapter 3

This was A LOT OF FUN! I didn’t know we could use GIS to track planes and use it for investigative purposes — where it flew, when did it reach its destination(s), why did it stop at a particular city/country and where it may have crashed.

The chapter looked long but it didn’t take me very long to complete it (or maybe it didn’t FEEL long). This was because it was filled with graphics, which was EXTREMELY helpful and the tutorial explains even the basic things. For example, if we click on a column heading that shows the attributes of cities, the entire column will be highlighted. But I would rather the tutorial walk me through every step of the way than skipping parts and assuming the learner knows certain applications.
